the dano pig takes everything from a early 60's pig and makes it using todays knowledge. which means it is completely functional and has none of the weird hang up that those old logs have (too thick, thin, blobby rails,). The lift you get while riding the nose is insane.
it is a really relaxing board for me and it is my go to board choice for the weekend. fizzles the weekend warriors vibes out.

The cream in Ohio has a higher fat content than here (california) so the creme fraiche was incredbily fragile. it made for a great nite trying keep those dollops perfect for the 800 budinos plated. i don't think i picked my head up once

Resently been able to take up living life again and i'm super pumped on it. All of my sisters (and my brother) play some sort of instrument. Some played through high school or college or didn't pick anything up until college but we all play. there are literally instruments in every room in the house; including a piano in the dining room. surrounded by music for as i can remember. But, we have never once thought to play together. What a grand deal to be able to hang out with your sisters, play music and perform.
i guess what looked kitchy to some is just good living for others.

sorry about these posts i just really need to get some of this out of me. i want everyone to know what a great guy mitch was and quickly things can leave us and how we worry and fret over these small insignificant things in our lives that mean absolutely nothing in not just the long run but in any run (ie people burning you on a wave, or getting free boards, i don't know all that meaningless shit) and completely forget the important stuff like telling people they're awesome and you love them. stoking people out, sharing a wave, opening a door, smiling at others. we need to stop focusing on all the negative and look at the postive. we need to start being parts of the solution and not the problem and apathy is one of the biggest parts of the problem. what happened to mitch was senseless and completely unnecessary (to say the least) and so is so much of what happens in the world so why allow it?

read what Mitch's best friend Andy wrote kabout what happened that nite.. it is one of the strongest things someone has written and the hardest thing i've ever had to read.

I knew Mitch way back when he was still a skinny ska kid going to thrash core shows; moving across the country hoping life would work out. The Saying 'I Gave Everything' was made for Mitch and it showed in the people he knew, things he did, lives he touched. He was truly one of the raddest, gutsiest, nicest most amazing human beings i have ever been lucky enough to know and was killed recently . click here as well and here

A day has yet to go by since it happened without me remembering Mitch. He is completely intwind with my youth and my intense love of everything music. playing it, listening, talking, shows, stage dives. Quite literally every single part of it. I listen to the a song and remember a show i went to with mitch. I remember his band opening for the suicide machines and at the whiskey and how beyond sick that was or when he dragged us all down to the deeps of san diego like 8 hours before a show at che cafe to see some thrash-skacore band (flaming tsunamis). how he completely amped me out and then i remember that none of this will ever ever happen again. so it goes...

Went to see Chain Reaction last week to Title Fight, Touche Amore and the Shook Ones last week. The show was sold out and you could easily see why. Bands went off and the crowd was insane. Cannonball Stagedives, people jumping off stage onto the side wall and then flying into the crowd. it was beautiful. my friend elliot is the drummer and they just came out with a new album. It's pretty good you should check it out. (down below)

We were lucky enough to do a little tour with The Skank Agents. These guys The put on an insane show which includes loads of stage diving, too much thrash dancing and the wall of death (which is when half the crowd goes to one wall the other the other and when the music start they go at each other full force flying monkey battlefield style); One of the best things i've ever seen in my entire life. Seriously if you ever get the chance check them out.

Played the glasshouse in Pomona earlier this month. My band opened for the Scholars which was amazing since they were one of those bands that i grew up going to their shows. We also played with monkey again which is always a blast. Those guys are beyond amazing.
Bonus: caddy corner from us at the FOx Theatre was Rev. Horton Heat and THE Jerry Lee Lewis. how grand is that. i feel like my whole summer was made up of seeing random bands that i never thought i would and stoked i did
